Drew & Daddy's "Fair"ly Good Afternoon

Last Saturday Bill took Drew for their Daddy-Drew day. This time their activity of choice was the University of Arizona's Spring Fling Carnival, which serves as a major fundraiser for the student groups at U of A. Drew and Dad began their afternoon with a pizza lunch. As you might be able to guess from the picture, Drew's a fan.



Drew and Daddy went down the super slide together once, but then Drew decided he wanted to go "all by myself." So Daddy was able to snap this picture the second time Drew came down.

Here's Drew on the airplanes. He also ventured onto the Dizzy Dizzy Dinosaurs, but stayed away from the rollercoaster "Because it's scary Mommy."

It took Daddy a little while to find the bumper cars. At first, he thought this carnival might not have them, but as they circled back around he saw it. Here's Drew anxiously awaiting their turn on the bumper cars.

After the fair, Drew and Daddy went to Toys R Us to buy a birthday gift for a friend and also to check out bicycles. When we were in Sports Authority a few weeks ago, Drew climbed right on to a big boy bike with training wheels and circled around the store for several minutes. We had planned to buy him a big boy bike for his birthday, but it appears he has outgrown his tricycle already. So we decided perhaps the Easter Bunny might bring a new bicycle. While Daddy didn't find one he like at Toys R Us, Drew still got excited about seeing which size would be best for him. Stay tuned for pictures of the Easter arrival of the new bike.
