Apparently Bill didn't think Drew had quite enough toys to play with, because a couple weeks ago he thought we should buy a Nintendo Wii. He had mentioned it in the past and I kind of thought we had agreed that when Drew was a little bit older it would be good. Bill, however, apparently thought Drew was ready now (which really means Daddy wants to play Guitar Hero and shamelessly used his child to convince Mommy to get a Wii). Drew played into the plan perfectly, jumping with joy and saying upon their return from Tucson "Mommy, we buy a big box with a guitar at Best Buy!"
Drew can't hold in his excitement as Daddy opens the Guitar Hero box.
Of course, every band needs a drummer, and Drew is ready to fill in there too. Unfortunately part of our drum set got broken and we are waiting on a replacement part now, but don't worry the guitars still work.
Here are Drew & Daddy practicing their guitar skills on a different day.
Our Wii also came with the sports game package, including golf, tennis, baseball, and boxing. Drew is fascinated by the controllers and loves that he gets his own to play with.
On a funny note, the first time they played tennis, Drew swung the controller/racket at just the right moment on Daddy's first serve and actually returned the serve for a point. Then he couldn't hit another ball back to save his life.
Drew & Daddy have tried all the sports out, but boxing is by far Drew's favorite, though as you'll see in the video, he needs to work on his form a bit. He can't seem to grasp the idea of using both hands, but at different times. He sure has a good time trying though.
Anyhow, as you might guess, watching the boys play is highly entertaining.
